A 1992 accord would not start put new plugs wires and cap and rotor. Would not start it would crank but that is it. Ordered a new distrib and put it on and now will not crank does make a sound but hard to say what it is kind of a roar. Planning to try the old one today. I put the wires on just the same way as the old one. Also waiting on the ignition wire

 

Well i put the old one on and nothing. Put the new one on and nothing and the lights went off. So i jumped it off and would not start. Waited a min and tried it and had to give it some gas and it started.Let it run for bout 30 mins and tried it again and it started.

 

Sounds like a potential charging problem - take to AutoZone or other auto parts store and have them test the charging system for free. Maybe your alternator is bad, or battery, or both.

 

I started it up 2 other times and did fine. Have not tried it today
