OBD Honda Accord 1995 Info Needed
I will keep it short and sweet.
I want to build a very small device that logs OBD data of our Honda Accord 1995 4 cylinder. The reason is funny actually... my wife and I want to log the driving habits of our daughter. She (the car) is an old girl with 250k miles and we just put another $800 into her on the brakes. The car was my wife's Mom's who past away some years ago and left it to her, and the car has special sentimental value for her. Plus she runs great outside of a leak or two. She just needs love and we want to keep our daughter honest when she drives her.
I have large experience designing embedded systems and thought this up. Kind of like a Progressive Insurance dongle for the OBD, but for us to check acceleration, deceleration, revving, etc. This data would upload to our home server every time the car is back in the driveway.
Anyway, to start, I would like to know where the port is, and any recommended information about OBD concerning this car. Are there differences from the standard? Is power supplied by the port? I don't need much, like maybe 700ma at peak for the wireless.
I know this question is out there a bit. It's not for commercial design and use, just for us. Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Other questions I will have later, like how hard it is to change the power steering pump and related considerations I can search for. I didn't find anything about the OBD idea however.
Thank you so much for your time!

95 is OBD1 and there is no OBD Port as there is in the 96+ OBD2 chassis. In saying that there is still a data line. As well it would be easy enough to tap into a constant voltage circuit from the ECU or wiring harness.

you might be able to do what you want using a accelerometer and GPS. maybe an old smartphone stuck under the dash hardwired in.
