Default 99 civic ex CTV d16y8

I have an auto 99 civic ex. Its a daily driver. Im in search of the best ways to give it more get up and go power . It lacks the *** to get out in traffic. Dont want any swaps. Any ideas?

I run 5w-30 royal purple, engine has 50-70k . Trans and car has 26xxxxk miles. Only thing i have is headers stock exuast.

Will the royal purple ATF help my trans as well?

Honda only recommends the use of their own fluid... there are other fluids that claim to work appropriately in Automatic Honda transmissions, however, use at your own risk. There will be no noticeable performance gain by using a different fluid.
