1997 civic ex w b16
So this car has been sitting for almost a year and i finally got it to start but i noticed it would stay at operating temp for 4-5mins my radiator might kick on for a min or less then won't kick on till temp is 3/4 high . to make a long story short was rushed ordered ect sensor not the radiator fan switch plan on flushing and changing the ect sensor this weekend .my question is i wanna test drive thr car this weekend is it a terrible idea if i jump the radiator fan for now?

Top off the radiator and reservoir with coolant and then bleed the cooling system.
