Possible blown fuse? If I recall, there are two different fuses - one for hazards, one for turn signals. Don't quote me, but I'd check real quick.

If not, possible broken switch?

Turning signals in a vehicle are not only an safety precaution but it is also one of the legal requirements. The reason for not working your left signal is because of any one of the reasons mentioned below:-
- Blown fuse
- Burnt out bulbs
- Dirty bulb sockets
- Bad turn signal switch
- Bad Flasher module
If you have technical knowledge, you can check it yourself otherwise visit some qualified mechanic and get it thoroughly checked.
