Default Suggestion on rebuilt motor

What's going on my fellow Honda tech members. That time has come for me to rebuild my dd, but I'm looking for some suggestions from you guys. I'm currently running a b16b with a 1.8 toda stroker kit. Other than a k+n drop in filter, toda rep header and 2.5 inch exhaust the motor is completely stock and has been a fun dd setup for me. Made 207hp with 143tq on Crome tuned on a dynapack dyno by church in long beach. Motor is starting to burn exsesive oil so piston rings are starting to go I believe. A leak down will probably confirm that this coming weekend. Anywho, I'd like to reach a good 210-215 hp range when rebuild is complete so I'm looking for some suggestions. On that note, I currently have a gsr head that has been fully built with p+p full super tech valvetrain and type r valves that I picked up a while back. I was thinking of just using the head and adding a good set of cams. So what I'm asking is should I just continue to use my ctr head? If I do use my p72, which cams should I go with for a basic block rebuild? Thanks for the advice in advance, your input is greatly appreciated

Yes. All you need is to fix your issue, and run a good set of camshafts to get to that very realistic goals

He said "toda stroker" and "motor is completely stock" in same breath, I'm surprised you didn't go Confucius/soup **** on him. Lol

207/143 is pretty impressive already, I'm surprised you only using a k/n drop in filter. If you are just looking to pick up just 3-8 hp on that na setup, I would upgrade to CAI and the biggest aem dryflow you can stand hanging in your front bumper. It needs to breathe!

BTW, what cams are you using now? b16b?

So....That means , what exactly? (for those of us that are unaware of what you're considering to be the obvious)

I can see how using stock and toda stroker can be a bit contradicting lol, what I meant was the head is completely stock including b16b cams and to theshodan, the dynapack dyno at church does read a bit high. After doing the math, Daniel quoted me about 195 on a dynojet dyno

Oh. 12whp... Oh god, Armageddon has become us!

The car sounds just fine.. If you want more peak power overall, change the head completely, and rev forever..

I guess I.Never understood the whole big deal on dyno numbers

Yeah... I'm just weird like that haha. Well I have to change out the piston rings so I figured might as well throw on a fully built head while I'm at it. I was looking at some custom cams to throw in there, as you'll see in the post right below this one I believe, but I'm still doing some research and getting opinions. I know these builds can be a very tedious process, but can also be very technical. If not done properly one can be disappointed with the end results

As one that has gone through this a number of times with good success, the only disappointment was not a miscalculation, but lack of thoroughness at final assembly due to fatigue.

Otherwise, after 8 years of the car successfully running, I have no complaints. And if it was 12hp less than an expectation, you'll learn to live with it after a while. In the end, makes little difference.
