Is there a way to reconstruct a door panel or is it impossible. Mine is shot and called about 25 salvage yards and nothing... Just wondering if there's a way to copy the profile of if anyone has s template I can use to make one out of fiberglass with.

 

25 and nothing? Were they small tiny yards? One without any civic in it? Is there a Pull A Part near you? You need to physically go there and look. If they have a lot of vehicles, chances are they don't even notice what are available and not. I drove 2hrs to go get what I needed at Pull A Part. They have door panels, plenty. If you don't want to pay entrance fee, visit the one that have 0 entry fee. Pull A Part charge $1 for VIP and $2 for general. Do the leg work, go look.

 

I have visited about 10 of them. Either striped or worse shape than mine. I'm going to try another tomarrow but it's becoming frustrating. Most were massive yards, 100,200+ Hondas I have tons of stuff just no door panels.... Lots of 2001+ and preludes and 4dr civics.

 

Sometime you just have to wait til the right one comes in. It won't happen overnight. Took me almost 2months to find what I needed. Check their website form new incoming wrecks.. Or sign up for their newsletter to get notification of new arrival. Assuming those yards have a site.

 

Yeah most have sites. This is mg wife's car really want s new panel to make trade in value better. Paint is crap Idk what happend to it but it has huge cracks.... I miss my 95civic, was built much better than her 98. Heck I still have 95 panels and stock headlights. Been thinking about building another. I'll keep looking. Was wondering about shaping her motor if it has gotten any easier to swap from a d to a b series. Use to be a pain, pinning everything out.
