DVD player had trouble loading discs so I took it apart to clean the rollers. Upon reassembly I must have moved the position of the drive cause now it's acting like there's a disc in it, when there's not.

Anyone have a service manual with this part in it, or does anyone have any "make sure" items they can share with me regarding reassembling a front load player like this?

 

If no one has a service manual for this device, can anyone tell me if I will run into problems by just buying another one from a junker & installing it? Will there be security code issues? How would I reset them?

 

If the junkyard has the dvd, it MIGHT have the manual in the glovebox with the radio code. Just buy a aftermarket head unit with dvd. Can be had for cheap!

 

Wouldn't the "radio code" be for the radio? Would the DVD player alone need it's own code? I wouldn't think so, but I also don't want to waste my money...

To your point, yes A/M units are indeed cheaper but I like my vehicles OEM.

 

I have no idea about the dvd needing a code. I assume since its all one unit, it would be 1 code? Well get another oem unit off ebay. It may have the code you need.

 

The DVD player is separate from the radio.
