Chevy/ Displacement type guy, joining the dark side
Hello all,
I've been fixing cars for quite a while, and I generally stick to larger displacement motors and domestic vehicles - Small block Chevy is my engine of choice - be it gen 1, 2, or 3
Why am I here? I've acquired a 2006 Acura RSX Type S, about 120K miles, with what appears to be an excellent drivetrain. K20Z1 if I've done my homework correctly.
After I take care of some obvious cosmetic issues, I'm interested in experimenting with mild boost. I'd like somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 whp (you weirdos don't use kW, do you? ... Only kidding). So I figure I'd best start educating myself and join a Honda forum!
My objective is to have an extremely clean street car without sacrificing A/C, driveability, or stock looks (much), but can still hold its own against my more fuel hungry V8 comrades.
I will post a few "before" pictures of the car as-received. Bumper is thrashed, needed a side skirt, and some inner fenders. Replacing the A/C condenser, and flushing and replacing fluids as is reasonable and prudent.
Looking forward to participating in the community!
