Okay I have a problem similar to this only my light comes on either when I break to hard or sudden and sometime randomly it sometimes cuts right off other times cut off after a second or if I unstart and start the car back it goes off I thought about it only being a malfunctioning sensor but to be rather safer then sorry I'm asking is their anything more serious that I should be worried about

Well of course you want to be sure the oil level is correct, if close to being due or not sure I'd go ahead and change it and the filter.

I hate to just throw parts at something but the oil pressure switch could be going out. You might want to think about replacing it - I'd go with an OE switch as some have had issues with aftermarket switches.

If you replace the oil pressure switch take the time to hook up an oil pressure gauge to see if your oil pump is putting out the correct pressure. I would do this with the oil level at the correct level and a new (or fairly new) oil filter. I also had a similar case to yours. The problem turned out to be the wrong oil pressure switch was installed on my car, and it did not play nice with the car's computer. Let us know how things turn out.

I'm having a similar problem with my 97 Honda Accord. The oil light came on and start flashing one day. It doesn't happen all the time. Sometimes when I push on the brake, the light comes on and kind of flickers. Recently, I heard the lifters after driving a short distance. Is this a concern? I'm concerned about driving it now. I'm just confused that it doesn't happen all the time.

I had this problem in my 95 accord. Freaked me out at first but i have a sandwich plate on the filter and run a oil pressure and temp sensor from it. My gauges were reading normal so i limped home and checked oil levels which were normal. Turned out to be a loose connection on the factory oil pressure switch. Mine is a swapped h22 but everything still applies. I would check that connection and sensor first. As previously stated, find a way to get an oil pressure reading to rule out your oil pump.
