Default one to 4 wire o2 sensor

Can anyone tell me how to convert my one wire o2 sensor to a 4 wire one? Its for a 93 civic. I have a universal bosch 4 wire sensor but i can't figure out how to wire it up. I found a doc on how to do it but the colors are all totally different. any help would be greatly appreciated

Im doing this conversion next weekend, Ive put it off long enough, and this CEL is killing me. I had a writeup on it, but lost it. Can someone repost it again ? I think it might have been one of StorminMatt's writeups.

Btw, how much did the Bosch unit cost you ?

Are you using a P28 ecu?

one wire o2 sensor is a white wire and goes directly to D14 on a P28 ecu.

for converting to 4 wire o2 sensor, you will need to keep this wire, and add the following:

Grn/Wht wire - spliced into the GRN-WHT wire which is the Idle Air Temp Sensor, wchich also goes to D22 on the ECU.

Yel/Blk wire - Splice into Yel/Blck wire at the firewall.

Org/Blk wire - goes to A6 on P28 ECU which is the Heat Control

HTH

i do have a universal one so i am assuming my signal wire from o2 goes to the white wire d14. i have two heater wires. does one go to the orange black wire and yel black? i'm not sure cuz i have a ground wire too... so where does the ground go to?

you will only need to use 1 heater control wire.

you have extra wires on that universal o2 sensor.

as for ground, i'd suggest splicing that to the yel/black

How are you using a cx harness. Is your vtec working? I just did the same swap and had to get the 4 wire o2 sensor to hook up to the 94 si harness. I got the 4 wire o2 with the oem clip from oxygensensors.com real good price.

Are you getting any other codes like 10 and 14?

Yes my vtec is working. I swapped in my jdm d15b and used my existing cx harness and plugged everything in. I ran vtec wires straight to my ecu and it seems to kick in fine but you don't notice it much. And now my o2 is working as well. I used Kenji's article and wired them straight up to the ecu as well. No more codes. it works fine now.
