GSR trans issue
Not sure if this is normal or not and I've tried looking for a thread before posting and couldn't find one.
I recently bought a b18c motor and trans and when I was playing around with the trans (out of the car), when I turn the trans (like the **** that makes the axle turn) I can hear like gears turning loudly inside. Not sure if this is a noob question and didn't want to have to take it all out again to fix it. Is this normal? Thanks in advance,
Pete

Thats fine, you should hear the gears when moving the input shaft or the shift pin. Install the engine then worrie about the trans if you have issues.
Why ask this question to begin with?, are you familiar with these trans and or done this to a previouse trans and you did not hear such a sound?

From: TRILLINOIS....WAY downtown, jerky.
Pretty normal. The shift fork may be "partially" engaging a gear. If you pull/push on the linkage, it will either pop into a gear or into neutral.
Either way...sounds like its pretty normal.
