Default Ecu compatibility

My ecu is fried on my b16a obd1and I'm trying to source a new ecu and not sure if slight variances are OK.
My fried Ecu number is (in aus)
37820-p30-g00

I have sourced this one
ECU 37820-PR3-J01
which has also come out of a b16a over in the US can anyone tell me if it is compatible I can't seem to find anything apart from brand new which I can't afford
Is it just a difference in parts number because it is a different country or ?? Please help I need my baby on the road again

Default Re: Ecu compatibility

pr3 never came in the US. it is usually obd0, sometimes found obd-1. make sure you're getting the correct obd.
