m/t 24.5x9 or hh 24.5x9.5 what rim size and offset ek hatch
I wanna say that i have a bout an inch of space between the tire and the upper ball joint. I can get you a exact measurement if you want.
ok but do i need a 10" rim for a 24.5 8.5? or is it better to run a 8" rim i was told wider will give more contact patch when air down ? where 8" will make it bubble up in the middle ?

I ran an m&h 24.5x8.5x13 on a 7.5 lenso wheel for a year. I cut a best of 1.71 and usually 1.80-1.88 60 foots.
I switched to a 13x10 wheel with a 24x9x13 MT and my first pass 1.64 with a best of 1.58
From my experience both the M&h and Mt worked well. Either tire will do fine.
Also from my experience the wider wheel really helped put more tire on the ground.
The 13x10 is a little much for most. I had no issues but my car sat high. still oem front end.
I would say with 500ish whp. run either slick but get a 9" wide wheel. It is plenty enough to make all of those tires have a good contact patch.

i ordered some areo 13x10 the hit my calibers cause the drop center area was in the wrong spot so i mite have to order new rims or run spacer. i have yet to run a pass with bars but ive been doing 1.9 60fts on my 24.5 8.5x13 m&h tires only leaving on 9 psi and 6800rpm
How much pressure in your tires before you do a burnout? Your launch RPM is really dependant on the track conditions.
