distilled water in battery

Default distilled water in battery

today, i had to put distilled water in my battery because the acid was very low. does distilled water runs like if its a new battery or should i get a new one.

It depends.. What were the Specific Gravitiy readings of each cell?.. What was the Max Variation?.. How close was the reading to 1.280??

What I'd do is Load Test the Battery on VAT-40 at twice the Starter Draw. And if it doesn't pass that, I'd chuck it. But it all depends on what type of climate your in.. And since you seem to be from Cal, it shouldn't matter if the Battery doesn't provide enough AMperage for double Starter Draw. Just as long as it provides at least 150% Starter Draw Amperage.. You should be fine..
