spring and shock or coilover suspension?
I have a 94 VTEC Del Sol I want to drop. It's also an everyday driver. I just want to get an idea of what anyone's thoughts were between the 2. Im leaning towards Tein springs and a quality shock OR Tein coilovers but I also want to do it right the first time. I'm not a huge fan of coilovers as Iv'e seen them on my friends vehicle and haven't been impressed. It's possibly due to the adjustment setting they have it set on, idk? thanks
The Del Sol comes with coilover suspension from the factory. So the difference between going with a shock/spring combination and what is usually called a coilover, assuming equal quality for both setups, will be the ability to infinitely adjust height to your liking and also corner weight the car. Is that something that appeals to you? Then buy coilovers. If not, a shock/spring combination is good too.

What did you not like about height adjustable coilovers? Apples to apples, they are almost always quite a bit better than springs/shocks in terms of ride quality and handling.
Hi Guys... Well I have Del Sol S 95 and I have Coilovers setup on the front and lowers springs on the rear.... Coilovers is a setting that is rigid will have an effect on the roof, it is heavy, and will start sounds lose and that's annoying.... Lower Springs its better for a DD...
