Default Middle console/arm-rest wearing down??

I recently removed mine because the fabric seems to be wearing out. This is on a 97 R. Does every year ITR have the same set-up, with the number plaque on it? My interior looks pretty strange now with no back seats and nothing in the middle of the front seats. I'll tell you this, that thing is so friggin cheaply made. Just a piece of plastic, but i guess it has to be for weight savings.I don't really care. If they steal my car now at least i'll have something to remember it by

Mine is fairly worn down too but understandably. Its an armrest so it gets a fair amount of wear.

Mines not too bad, I don't think the previous owner used it much, and the people that ride in my car know better then to set thier arm on my armrest

Order a new one. You can still use the original number plate.

It should have the holes to screw it back in, it is meant for a Type R, no?

I have seen many evidently tragically worn centre armrests completely restored by using a toothbrush and a mild cleaner.
Right on George...I have seen the same thing. Ever heard of a suede brush people? Although...I've never needed to clean my car THAT much yet....
