Today coming back from a local import shop I ran into a Viper with some young guy driving it. We ran a couple times but not for long. The time we did run long was from a 55 roll and we went to about 145. He beat me by bout 5 cars and it was all top end too. Im pretty sure he was stock and all I have is a short ram and comptech axle back. It was a lose for me but I was expecting him to beat me by more

 

Are you sure about that 5 car lengths?? If you are, I would be happy as hell too. You know off the line that car would beat the **** out of you.

He wasn't trying. You'd be down 10 bus lengths are those speeds, 145 is practically the top speed of the ITR, the mopar just gets going.

 

he was really on it cause we counted down. I looked on car-stats and they rate them at a 13.2 so thats bout right. he really didnt pull that much til my 5th gear. Yea it was roughly 5 cars

believe what u guys want and I know we were both racing. They are overrated. 5 cars is about right for a low 13 second car racing a mid 14 sec car from my prime start

everyone thinks Vipers are God but if you think about it they are just as quick as a Corvette and Hondas beat Corvettes all the time. GO figure its hard to find a Viper to race since they cost too much and are rare.

 

A low 13 second car? No way. More like 11.9's.

 

Just as quick? Do you ever race them over and over again?? I DO, an ACR will destroy any vette, even a z06 with bolt ons. It takes NOS or supercharged vettes to take them. See the bitch slapped series.

The Viper is a high 11 second car, the ITR is a high 14 second car. Let me put it to you this way... when i was running my friends ACR doing 20-160 punches over and over again, the chase car was a modified WRX, the comment from him, "if i kept it burried i could keep you in sight" He got wasted so bad, about 10 buslegnths, and his WRX is quicker than an ITR. Food for thought.

 

The older ones weren't that fast and new ZO6's can supposedly walk them. The newer ones (no not the brand new ones) on the other hand are a different story.

Yes, thats right. About the Z06 walking a Viper, i have a magazine that has the Viper Vs. 02 Z06 and the Z06 best was 12.1 and the Viper best was 11.7(pulling from memory but im pretty sure its accurate) It was the Viper VS. Vette Shootout in GM hi tech performance mag.

 

thsi was an R/T 10 i dont what the difference is between the VS but it must be big

Car stats? how about drag racing results on street tires, GTS 450 hp high run high 11's (11.7-11.8 is common). Not sure about the older ones, mags have them at 13 flat at 110. Now your ITR is doing a high 14 at not even 100. Please explain how you expect to compete. Up high??? He was toying with you, i do it all the time Maybe he didnt' have room to let you know, drivers tend to get pissed. Here they thing they are doing so good against a supercar then you level them outa nowhere. awwwwwwwwwwww ya.

Like i said, WRX (sub 14 second car) chasing us from a roll to 150 could not even keep us in sight.

 

The old ones were 13 flat at 110ish. The new z06 can get them anywhere. Now the new ones, the z06 will LOSE EVERY TIME in the quarter, and after the quarter it gets REALLY ugly.
