Default Cabin light

So after a friend got the belt stuck in the door jam and closed it, my cabin light doesn't come on when you open the door. It's very annoying, I tried multiple things.

It's the rubber stopper thing on the bottom left of the door panel I believe. When I press it, the light comes on and off... So does anybody know how I can fix this?

Remove the rubber cover
CAREFULLY extract the 2 bolts or screws that hold the metal door jamb plug in
CAREFULLY remove the door jamb plug using a pair of needle nose pliers. Be mindful of the two wires running to it which are usually easily damaged.

Using the needlenose and a straightedge straighten it back out so it is true again

Re installation is the reverse of removal.

If this doesn't fix it go to the local Pick n Pull and get a replacement from a donor car.

OP - Car information is required for all tech threads.

Also let us know if the suggestion fixes the problem.

Notice the word CAREFULLY. It is incredibly easy to break the metal jamb piece as well as the 2 wires that run to it. Been there done that.
