Whats up guys! Just joined because im in need of your help! So i bought a drive shaft shop spool, part #H027c1, to put in my boosted 97 gsr but it wont fit! The splines just dont match up. Ive contacted DSS and they seem to think its a technical error on my end and not their product. Yes i am aware they haven't made this spool in 4 years but i was able to find it online and bought it for my drag car. The spool doesnt fit either side, the intermediate or the axles. The part number is correct and DSS says it should be plug n play. Im curious, have any of you had ANY with this particular part? Just fyi, their oem axles and stock gsr 5spd with CCI twin disc. Im considering paying a acura specific shop to take a look but im afraid of what they'll charge for labor but right now i have a 500 dollar paperweight

 

I had the same issue with a prodrive full posi spool. I had to mic axles and spool with a digital caliper to find out they manufactured the spool a couple thousandths off from the axles. Hope this helps

So come to find out the DSS spool was made a little too small as well so im looking into machining either the splines on the spool or the axles. Anyone have any experience with this type of work?
