Default B series Aftermarket Bearing Thickness Information

In my relentless pursuit of chasing the perfect bearing clearances, it was realized that I had at least a few different brands of rod bearings on hand. I finally had a chance to do some measuring in the garage and figured, "Hey! why not record the measurements and share them with HT?" No more guessing what aftermarket brands equal what oem color.

Measurements were done on each bearing half 2-3 times to ensure consistency. Ambient temp was 45 degrees F. I used a Fowler 0-1" ball anvil/tube micrometer .0001" graduations.
Bearings are for B series (non gsr/itr). I feel pretty comfortable saying that measurements are within .0001" tolerance.

From thickest to thinnest.

Calico (coated ACL)_________________.0595"
OEM Brown_______________________.0591"
ACL Duraglide 780__________________.0590"
OEM Green________________________.0590"
OEM Yellow________________________.0589"
ACL Race HX_______________________.0585"
Clevite 77__________________________.0585"

The rest of the OEM bearing sizes can be found here.

I got something to add also.

k series thickness rod bearing from king bearings!

With my mitutoyo ball mic at 20 degre celcius i get:0.0584-0.0585 from a cr4525xp bearing shell.

From a email talk with king bearing this is the target thickness of their rod bearings.

stdx: 0.0581-0.0586

std: 0.0586-0.0591

nice idea for this thread

If i was good with computers. I would make a nice little chart with oem and aftermarket bearing sizes. Unfortunately I have trouble with the simplest things like resizing pictures.
Thanks Flesh199 for adding. Maybe some others will add some as well.
