Hi all, I have this '02 Accord I jut bought from a friend. It has some idle problems. On initial start, it will idle at about 2k for less than 10 seconds, which is fine, but after that passes and the idle drops to 1k, it starts to surge from 1k to 2k and back at about a 0.75 second interval. This goes on for several minutes and then seemingly randomly, it starts to surge very quickly (5 surges per second) with no change in rpm. Keep in mind that this activity only appears in park and neutral. When in any drive gear or reverse, idle drops to 1k and stays constant. I've tried checking for vacuum leaks with carb cleaner and tearing apart the TB and IACV and cleaning with carb cleaner. Both failed. Now I took out the TPS and hooked it to 5V and checked it with a multimeter. I read that with no load, the TPS should read around .5V; mine reads 0.00V. Am I on to something or is this nothing?
