random engine question
Okay the 93 del sol S I just got, my friend said he thought it was a 1.6 engine but the factory tag under the hood says PHN 1.5v5FLFX, so can anyone tell me if my car has the 1.6 or the 1.5? Or maybe where to find out which one it has. All the other cars I've had said exactly what the engine is on the tag so forgive me if it's a stupid question
Yes, we can tell you exactly what engine you have. Please read your other thread where I have included the information needed so that you can do just that.

I understand you don't like to read through "old" threads and sort through so much information, some of which has probably changed anyway, so here's the specific post I was referencing. All the information below is current, relevant and concise. You shouldn't have to waste any of your valuable time sifting and searching Internet fluff.
Mind reader, nah! You're just predictable.

Also, also...
There were two Del Sol variants made in 1993.
Del Sol S (engine code D15B7) SOHC non-VTEC
Del Sol Si (engine code D16Z6) SOHC VTEC
If you have an S trim level Del Sol and a D16Z6 engine your car has already had an engine swap.
The way to know for sure what engine your car was originally equipped with is the VIN.
The first six digits of your VIN will be either:
Del Sol S = JHMEG1 = D15B7
Del Sol Si = JHMEG6 = D16Z6
It's too cold to go outside to check doesn't cut it. Come back when you can identify both your VIN and engine code.
Where to find your engine code:

There are three places to find your VIN on your car. Other places should include your title, insurance card, bill of sale, etc.
Lower left corner of your windshield:

OP, you're one of those people that needs to listen/read more, and post less. Seriously, stop making random threads at your every whim. Put in just a modicum of effort.
