Need Help - Window Regulator and Clutch
I need to change my regulator for the second time in a year due to the teeth being rounded out or broken . The problem I have is that the car is a 99 "SI" with EM1 VIN in engine bay and matching VIN on trunk lid, but the doors are EJ. Is there is serious difference between EJ coupe door and EM1 door?
When the stock regulator broke I replaced it with one from Autozone that is supposed to be for a SI. After a while it would get stuck with one side being raised more than the other and needing some wiggling to go up. Now it only goes up halfway and then needs to be pull the rest of the way up.
Can I replace the regulator with any EJ coupe version or can I use the SI one? Also plan on using water resistance silicon so window doesnt get stuck.

The other question is regarding my clutch. Supposedly I have an ACT stage 2 clutch installed. Its starting to slip when I step on gas too much. Is Exedy good replacement? Can I just grab an OEM disk and aftermarket pressure plate? I have B20B with GSR tranny and I am stock setup with no intentions of going boost or anything.

The EX and SI use the exact same parts for the window regulator. Your problem isn't what chassis it came from, your problem is you're buying shitty Autozone parts. Buy genuine Honda.
Honda Automotive Parts
Find the part numbers you need there, punch them in Google (also, Amazon) and find the best price for the true OEM part.
Exedy is the OEM replacement, so yes, it's a good replacement. Just get their OEM replacement kit, Exedy KHC05. Install it properly, Break it in properly, and you'll be fine.

I just replaced my passenger side regulator with one from the salvage yard, off a 00 model with mine being 98. Paid $24 for it. OEM part.. Function great..smooth. I also greased it up pretty good before installing.. Honda white lithium grease..
If you don't want to pay for brand new OEM parts, then hit the junk yard.. Find a good wrecker with less mileage, newer model, pull and save..just another option.
