2008 Odyssey - 135k miles

The auto-lock feature when the vehicle reaches 9mph keeps locking over & over again while driving, even when the doors are already locked.

It's not a major issue but it is a little irritating. Does this indicate a bad or dirty sensor? Do the locks just need to be re-programmed?

Try this.

1. Disconnect the battery. Wait 20 mins. Reconnect the battery.

2. Reprogram it. The instructions are in the owner's manual. I used to own an 09. Did it once, but I don't recall the steps to reprogram now.

 

This issue turned out to be a faulty door lock actuator on the passenger side front door. After replacing it, the auto-lock feature returned to normal operation.
However, now 6 mos later, all the locks appear to be working normally, but the auto-lock malfunction has returned....

 

my sons odyssey is doing this now. How did you know which side needed to be replaced?

 

Likely due to the driver's door lock actuator.
