My hatch died on me ther other day. I can't get it to start, the distributor is dead. It grinds the contact pegs on the dist. cap in a matter of seconds. The ECU is throwing a code 3, MAP Sensor..I replaced it, but it's still throwing the code. The Honda tech at my work said my ECU or Wiring Harness is messed up.

So it's dead and I got a 1999 Toyota Tacoma, it's a std. cab base model 5 speed...I like it, nothing amazing but it works.

I think it's kind of cool that I'll be able to do everything so better to the HB...so I gave it the offical title of a project car. My goal is do one tuning "set" at a time...ex. Suspension...So I want to get springs, shocks, brakes, etc...and install it all in one weekend or wahtever time it takes.

I think I need to do the body first, fix the dents...and then sand it and prime it down properly. Then Ill get it painted after winter is over, by then it still won't be completed though.

Any comments, suggestions, etc would be appreciated....oh yeah, don't tell me I should have used the money from the truck on the car...I got a loan for the truck with my mom and she doesn't like me putting moeny into the Civic anyways....oh well.

 

Hey at least you can take your time and do up the project car the RIGHT way! Half assin' kinda blows in the long run. Good luck w/it man!
