DA integra Fan issue
Hello All,
I am new to this forum and needed a little help on an Issue.
I just bought an Integra 1991 DA.The car needed jump start.I was told by the guy that the battery got drained due to the dome light being on.
The car ran for a while,I turned it off and then started by itself,I repeated it several times to make sure that the alternator is charging properly and the battery is holding charge.
I drove it back home without any issues.I turned the car off noticed some strange noise from the hood.Upon checking I found out that the fan was still working even though the ignition was completely turned off
I disconnected the battery terminal and it stopped working.
I am worried as I spent my hard earned cash to buy it.
I am not sure why the seller has the fan setup this way.
Disconnecting the battery terminals after every time I drive is not practical at all.
1-Can somebody please shed some light on what needs to be done to resolve this issue?
2-Secondly Is it going to be an expensive fix.
Any help in this regard will be appreciated much.
Thanks

You know, my integra had a toggle switch, with wires leading to the fan when I got the car. Plugged the fan into the factory plug and it works just fine! Other than that, i'd replace your temp sensor. It's the one under the distributor if I remember correctly. Real cheap and not too hard.
