In the market for crv - what to look for?
Not completely sure if this is a previous thread, if so, someone link it please cause I couldn't find it. anyways, im in the market for a 1st gen crv, and I think ive found a good one. can anyone recommend anything to look for that could be a problem. im familiar with Hondas, and the b-series motor. but not with crv's. any tips are much appreciated. one thing I noticed when I went to look at the car the first time was that when I turned the radio on it just read " code ". what could that be? thanks!

Most first gens nowadays will probably have a rough, squeaky or clunky ride due to worn dry out bushings, nothing to worry about though unless its a balljoint then it might snap ( not a fun experience).
Other than that if you are familiar with Hondas then just look for the things you would usually look for.
They are pretty cool little rigs. My brother in law gave my wife his 99 and I liked it so much I bought one for myself.
Sometimes crooked sellers disconnect the battery (and lock out thd radio) to clear check engine lights. This CRV may be throwing a code. Give this CRV a good test drive and bring a scanner with you
