I need help with my car. It just has the f22b1 VTEC. My engine is making all kinds of awful noises. I think that the oil pump may be bad?.. Is that common for these? It died on me, and I checked the oil and there is plenty in it. The oil light comes on when i let it idle, and it will eventually die. It acts like maybe the timing is out of whack on it. I need help

Sorry dude. How many miles you have?

You can check the cam/crank timing relatively easy. There should be a mark on the crank and one on the cam gear. You could take off that upper timing belt cover and peek at the tbelt. Having a Haynes repair manual might help you a bit.

Maybe the oil light is on due to a low idle.
