OBD2 to OBD1 conversion
Hey everyone , currently attempting an obd2 to obd1 conversion for my 1997 accord , f22b2 . i want to do the conversion for more tuning capabilities bc i do plan on boosting this motor . i'm picking up a p06 ecu non vtec manual , conversion harness off rywire , and either a new distributor or jumper harness to keep the obd2 distributor . obviously im a noob to this kind of stuff
, i really dont know what im getting into with this build , all i know is that i wanna learn and any help towards the process of this build would be great . thanks !

If you are keeping the same F22B2 all you need is the OBD2 to OBD1 jumper harness for the ECU. I ran a chipped and tuned P06 in my 96 (OBD2) for years without changing anything under the hood.
Hey guys,
I'm new to the Honda world, yes I know I'm super late to the party but like they say... better late than never.
I have a 1997 Honda Accord 5 speed with a F22 original to the car engine. I'm attempting to use a HA Motorsports OBD1 ECU on it with Moates Ostrich.
My problem is that on the stock PCM and No harness jumper from OBD2 to OBD1 the car runs fine but on the P06 Chipped ECU cylinder 3 does not fire.
I've heard of the Dizzy conversion so i picked up a 1994 Accord Dizzy. I need to know how to wire the 8 pin Dizzy connector to my 4 pin Harness on the car...?
Any ideas, positive and helpful comments or suggestions are greatly appreciated..... OR if this is not a dizzy issue but maybe a harness issue then a comment on that would be nice too.
I have no idea if just swapping over the ECU with the OBD2 to OBD1 jumper harness is enough or if I do indeed have to rewire the Dizzy.
Thanks in advance. Sorry for being a complete noob.

Only difference is on the OBDII is that only the CYP sensor is in the distributor.
The wiring is still there and goes to the PCM.
If you haven't rewired anything yourself, then you simply need to use the OBDII to OBDI conversion harness to use an OBDI ECM in place of the OBDII PCM.
HA Motorsports has a large FAQ on this. Go to their website and read up on what you need to do.
Also the Accord has two circuits that need to be repined, check the HA FAQ.

Scroll down to 'ECU pinouts'.
I would highly suggest going over all the tech bits of info that are applicable or related to your conversion. Plenty of knowledge on that tech page.
Just one less item to have to program. If you don't have it, ignore it.
