my integra seems to be hitting rev limiter at around 4500/5000 rpm, but its not really like a rev limiter, it sounds kinda rough and just jumps between 4500/5000 rpm and the rpm guage just goes crazy, the engine will start and run just fine but will not go past 5000, anybody know of things that might cause this to happen?

Do you have a check engine light on? Automatic or manual?

 

I have same issue my 98 gsr turbo 3rd and 4th gear won't go pass 4500 and up... seem like my turbo is boosting faster then my rpm. Chipped on crome. No check engine light . I just don't know what's the issue

 

Jay is your AFR leaning out in this rpm range?

 

I had I similar issue. Turned out to be my dizzy. You may need a tune up, or the dizzy is fried.

Check dizzy rotor make sure its on correctly
