Default 96 accord h22swap

I have a 96 accord lx 2.2 vtec and I want to a h22a swap what I can't get is a straight answer can I use a 97-99h22a or do I need to use the same year h22 can I use the old tranny or do I need to change that. Any help would be great I don't what smart *** reply I need truths and help

Yup the h22 mounts directly on to the f22 tranny. Not sure If the harness is identical to the 96 accord since its obd2 it is on the h22a4... obd1 is h22a1. For the h22a1 to fit into a obd1 accord all it needs would be the h22a1 ecu and the wire harness would be a direct fit except for the IACV just need to extend the wire...

the mounts are not the same. I did the swap a year ago. you need a 92-96 prelude driverside mount and shave it a few. You can use a h22a prelude ecu but its difficult to find the one without an immobilizer. On the swap I did i converted it to obd1 to avoid the hassle of trying to find the specific ecu. You are going to have to extend certain parts of the harness but thats easy.

This has been very well documented a million times over. Don't spoon feed people. Make them do their own research like the rest of us. OP, google is your friend.
