F23A5 non vtec wiring harness and ecu with a f23 vtec motor
Hello I have a 2002 accord non vtec f23 and the only engines I can find with low miles is the vtec f23. I don't care if I have vtec I just want the car to run again. Will this vtec f23 work with the non vtec f23 wiring and ecu?
Without VTEC activation the engine will probably not rev much past 3K rpm under load. Find an A5 engine or a complete PCM/harness for the A1.
Hey Mike when you say complete PCM/harness for the A1. do you just mean engine harness to shock tower or do you mean going into the cabin right into the new ecu? i have a 01Accord dx car and im putting in an 98 ex engine and ecu both automatics
Low mileage is overrated. I have 3 Civics and a 95 Accord all over 300k that pass CA smog effortlessly. Integra just crossed 200k, no problems. These are Hondas, not Hyundais.
Rebuild your stock motor if the piston rings are bad.

I do not know if the CGs use a bulkhead connector. If so I would still opt for the most complete to PCM harness. Grab it from a donor car and be done with it. Honda is pretty good at switching a single wire or two, Chasing them down, soldering, or repining is for the birds if you are not properly setup to do so. Get the whole deal and be done with it. Ye Olde Rule of K.I.S.S.
thanks mike i posted that question before i got the engine and harness upon receiving it i see it is a complete harness that goes to the ecu, but what i didn't account for was the emobleizer part, so i went back and bought the ignition switch and key,,,,,,,,,NOW AM I READY?
