Koni Yellow - Eibach pro kit - Extended top hats. PLEASE HELP
Hey guys, i've spend a few days trying to find info on this question i have. So what i have is a 94 Del slo and my suspension is Koni Yellows and a never markets set of road race springs i got from eibachs warehouse (Pro kit performance springs 9318.140). They lower the front 2.0 and the back 1.8. the guy said they sold a few sets a while back on here. anyway i have some extended top hats (ebay) i would like to use but the problem lies in the spring isolator bushing. I know the extended top hats are made to work with coilover type springs only but i really would like to have these top hats installed since the spring drop the car more that recommended by koni. now ive bought 2 different types of isolator bushings from energy suspension and the first set did not work since the spring is not flat on the top (when i tighten the top hat on the spring wants to walk to the side) now ive seen energy suspension makes isolator bushings with the offsets molded in them and mostly say for mustangs, my question is has anyone successfully accomplished this and know what isolator to use.
offset bushings im refering to here:
I currently have these also but have not tied them yet cause again they do not have the offset:

Re: Koni Yellow - Eibach pro kit - Extended top hats. PLEASE HELP
Im going to agree with the others you don't need top hats for that little a drop. I have pro kits on a crx and saw at most 1.25 in front and maybe an inch in back. I am running oem replacement shocks and DID put top hats in since the shocks accommodate 0" of drop and my use of top hats was probably a waste of money.
On a prior car i ran koni yellows and neuspeed race springs on the lowest perch for years without a problem. That's 2.5 to 3 inches down...
