I have a 94 Accord. One side is leaking. Is AutoZone's "best" sufficient at $250 or should I buy elsewhere? Thank you.

 

Most auto parts store parts are "spray and pray", which means the part is rebuilt to some standard, painted heavily, and then sold. In many instances, these parts are not fully rebuilt and reconditioned.

Unfortunately, the only way to get a good part is with a brand new unit. I suppose though, that no one wants to spend that kind of money. The warranty is what you should be concerned with. If the warranty is good, then buy it. It really is a tough situation, because the new rack from a parts store could last a week, or a few days, and i've seen them fail that fast.

The real rule of thumb is, make sure your warranty is good on a part like this.
