So this is weird to me, my title says my car is a YEAR 1991 MAKE Honda MODEL Civic crx, so if I go to buy parts online and it ask me for the model what do I select civic or CRX. Also when I typed in Honda recalls in Google and selected the first link and I typed in my vin in it says YEAR 1991 MAKE Honda MODEL civic sedan. I'm just super confused on what model car I have.

 

Also I went to www.decodethis.com and it says YEAR 1991 MAKE honda MODEL civic TRIM LEVEL crx.

 

Should be the same parts. Just depends on your engine size for a few items.

Post your VIN if you need more assistance. Guessing you just have a CRX. Not sure why it would say sedan. never seen that. My 88 Si comes up as Civic CRX Si

So, when you are looking for parts from local auto parts stores, you tell the counter person you have a 1991 Honda CRX std (DX)

 

Where are you reading the VIN? Don't get it from the title or the dashboard, get it from the top right of the firewall where it is stamped into the metal. Dashboards can be swapped.

 

you buy your parts for a crx.

forget the official VIN classification name.

 

hey I am in Iowa, could probably help some, I have been in the Honda CRX scene since my first CRX back in 1993. I was one of the original jdm universe persons, and then here.

post a car pic and we will go from there.
Si version got MPFI and lower version got SPFI motors there is a difference in stuff there. CRX vs Civic hatch vs sedan VS RT4wd there is much difference in stuff like struts, body parts, etc.

willing to help out on info, I have the Full Honda Service manual as well for stuff.
