Hey guess, having a horrible time trying to find this bloody starter cut or starter kill relay for a 94 Honda accord. can anyone give me suggestions or dear i say it, pictures?

I'll assume this is a North American Accord.

Auto or manual trans?

Last, what exactly is going on with the car to make you think the starter cut relay is the issue....and was there anything that led up to the issue (replaced x and now it won't start)

 

I have never heard of a starter relay going bad on a Honda.

 

but of course! I think I wound up finding the problem. Apologies for the lack of Info from the first post though. I have a 94 Honda Accord LX manual trans. The problem was that the car wouldn't start. I thought it was the battery, but when I put a meter on it, it read 12.6. It is also fairly new so I dont think it was that. So I took a wire to the batter to the starter to test if it was ever firing, and it started right up, leading me to believe that the problem was upstream on the electrical side. I wound up bypassing the clutch safety switch and the car started up so I'm pretty sure I fixed the problem. Ha well temporarily. However while I was under there I saw that the plastic piece that held the down stream switch (on the clutch pedal) was missing. Does anyone know what this switch is for?

There are two switches on the clutch pedal - one is for the cruise control....press the clutch pedal and switch opens and cuts the cruise control.

The other is called the "inhibitor" - when the clutch is pressed to the floor the switch is closed, this allows the signal to go to the starter relay allowing the starter to :run"....meaning you have to have the clutched pressed to the floor/down before the starter will run.

 

At Oreilly auto you can pick up a "brake pedal stop pad" and insert into the area that the clutch switch engages where the other one has broken off from.
