Rear main seal help
I'm pretty sure my rear main seal is leaking. I have the trans, clutch and flywheel off and the main is all oily at the bottom.
Is there any way of taking the seal off without dropping the oil pan? I really don't want the hassle and mess of dropping the oil pan (not to mention I'm supporting the engine with a jack and 2x4 on the oil pan). I read about screwing sheet metal screws into the old seal and pulling it out that way.
I am trying to finish my clutch job as the civic has taken over my garage for like 2 weeks now (i have been really busy).
Thanks!

They sell a seal puller at advance auto. Or drill a small hole and put a drywall screw in then pull with your favorite plyers. Just be sure not to scratch the crank shaft.
Take off that rear main seal cover, flip over, and lightly hammer it out. Reinstall new one with even lighter taps, and there you go! But you already did it lol.
