AEM boost by gear with Greddy solenoid
Hello you guys,
yes, I've searched it [=
i have the greddy solenoid from the profec B spec 2.
gave it 12V and hooked it to the boost output in the ems c10.
manage to make it work, but it is not working 100%.
i tune it via VSS. and when i put it on 16psi it gives me 20psi.
also the solenoid it knocking like a @!#$%$ and while maintaining full throttle the boost is playing like i did the line in the ems like this:
*----_----_----_----_----_---- *
frequency is 31hz
need help [=
thx

Thx man i will check that.
I can go over 20psi easely (:
My problem is that the car doesn't stay in boost.. its playing like i explained earlier..
I will give it a try and get back to u.

here is my VSS map

my O2 is not connected and is disabled in the ems.
it seems that the boost always goes back to the wastgate spring (10psi)
friend of mine told me it my-be regards with somthing called open/close loop
im really lost lol
"boost by VSS" ok ?

Your boost WG Duty table is 0% which means you are not commanding your solenoid to add any additional Duty in order for you to achieve more than waste gate spring pressure.
Yes a lot of cleanup is needed. First set the entire Boost WG Duty table to 50% from 2.68psi up breakpoint, uncheck Boost from Load, uncheck for now ''Boost FB P+I'' and the Boost Error Duty table has to be done in a more aggressive way.
I will try it.
Thx for your patience (:

The first 7 steps are good but after that it shows he does not fully master boost control settings.
Anyways, I don't use Boost comp table. I prefer using the Boost WG Bas Duty Map with Boost Error Duty table for corrections.
If you set those tables correctly you will have very stable boost even with an 8psi spring boosting to 30psi.

The main table should have the values to reach the psi youre after.
For example 10 psi column should have 30
Then 20 psi something like 60
Then you set your vss table. The vss table uses that main table to target psi based off speed
Question
Is the boost hitting a constant psi? Is it over boosting?
Can it make more than 20 psi?

Yesterday i just started from the beginning.
This time i used the "boost controller wizard " (noobe i know )
But it worked! No more creeping boost !
BUT NOW... lol the vss dont work, and now after I've done all that i can understand what you guys meen when ur talking about the main wg table..
So i will try again this week (:

OK,
reset the whole boost set up and started over.
because im not gonna go over 30PSi (or close to that) i set the whole 'Boost WG Base Duty' map to 50.
now for to tune the boost to my specific target i needed to use the 'Boost Target Comp' table.
i set the boost in the vss map to 10psi
and in the 'Boost Target Comp' set it to -27%
then i set up the high boost 20psi in the vss map to about -23%
i set the 'Boost Target Comp' so the spikes i made from -27 to -23 would be straight.
every thing is working fine, the mistake i did when my boost was not consistent was that i marked the 'boost FB on Error' to be active [=
all you need to 'check' is:
1. Boost W/G Output
2. Boost WG FeedBack
3. Boost FB VSS
now my vss is not accurate :\ anyone know how to adjust the vss?

There are many ways to adjust the boost control strategy. The way you are doing will cause boost fluctuations when temperature changes...
Change ''VSS Calibration'' parameter to match your true speed with the EMS.
