Default '97-'00 CL1/4 Accord shifter for H22 Swap: can it be done??

As the title asks. Can't find any info on this, anywhere.

I'm specifically asking if the Accord Euro-R/Type R shifter box can be used in a '96-'00 civic with H22 swap. If so, what will I need. If not, why?

Thanks for your contributions!

@HiProfile @ShinsenTuner @Bently_Coop @kingofbattle909 Sorry to have to tag yall but it's kind of urgent

I haven't done a swap with those or a straight H swap. Why are you limited to the OEM shifter box? What about the K-Tuned or Hybrid racing versions?

I just assume that everyone who comments on my thread has done an H swap haha

I'm not limited to the OEM shifter, but there is a certain...special OEM shifter I wish to use but it's only for the Accord type R

Yeah I know I'm going that route eventually. Just wanting to know if there's a way I can use an Accord type R/Euro R shifter

My shifter box was an RSX base I believe. Uncut and mounted over the tunnel.

I don't see why it wouldn't work as they should all be pretty similar.

Found out something. Just out of curiosity I looked up pictures of 5th gen prelude shifters (which are said to work for H swaps). I heard they were plastic, but I had never seen one before, only the 4th gen steel prelude shifters.

Well, the 5th gen prelude shifters look the exact same as the Accord type r plastic shifters. So I think that's case closed. Idk if anyone else will need this info but hopefully they see this thread

Have you seen the Shayspec stuff? He makes bushings for the OEM boxes.

No I have never heard of it, just looked through their products looks like they had some cool stuff.

The shifter I was looking at was a FEEL's ATR shifter box, a used one for sale on eBay. I decided not to buy it after finding that it could still be had new from FEEL's for the same price. But if I ever did decide to have a mAd tyte jdm setup, I'd use that shifter in conjunction with those shayspec products.

Always cool to see more support for the H platform
