Default 2000/2001 hazard switch

Ok so I have a 2000 accord 3.0 ex it had the fake wood interior and I went and changed most of it our for black. The problem I ran into is that I didn't realize that the design changed from 2000 to 2001 and when I put the 2001 clock and hazard switch in I blew my mpu which I have already bypassed but it also took out my flasher relay as well, at least that is what im thinking as my blinkers and hazards no longer work and that is after reinstalling my original 2000 hazard switch. my question is what is the difference between the 2000 and 2001 hazard switch that would cause the relay among other things to blow?

Any and all help here is welcome. I really dont want to have to go back to the 98-2000 climate control.

Ok so as of now i have replaced the mpu the blinker relay and the fuse associated to the blinkers. My blinkers now work but the hazards from the 2000 interior will not work and i have already tried a new hazard switch and still nothing.
