00 Civic si with ls swap: on a cold start the car cranks up and idles fine. Once it's warm and i have to start the car on again while it's warm, then start it again it has idle surge then dies.


Any reason this could happen?

Are you saying the engine won't run once the engine is fully warmed up?

 

Sounds like an Ignition Control Module Maybe.. Not so sure it would cause an idle surge though. Someone enlighten me?

No codes it just idles surges as soon as I start it back up. Then dies due to the surging.

 

Does the CEL work?

Start by cleaning the IACV (and FITV if you have one).

 

Yeah it should be working but that's a good point. I will check both tomorrow.
