Figured I would document and showcase this for anyone else who might be interested since I am starting to see these more now a days.

Swap candidate will be my 1990 CRX HF

ignore the light bar it was just for temporary fun
will be removing the air ducts as well and replacing with fogs to go with the signals should look real OG with the Work 01s when all finished
and here's the glass top

will update when updates happen
Advice and tips would be greatly appreciated

Only advice I can give beyond what you will read in the various installs that have been done in the past is use a strong holding urethane when you install the glass. The flex in the chassis and warm outside temps can weaken the bond and the glass can separate from the frame and create an ugly situation on the highway.

If you have a roll bar it might make things worse, bracing the rear end of the car and transferring all the flex to the front/upper area.

With the price of the glass and the rarity of the piece, when you remove the glass it might be worth taking and shaping a piece of clear polycarbonate that you can keep in storage just in case it cracks and you need a quick fix until you source a new glass pane.

check out my attempt, might give you some ideas of how you want to approach the install:

Use epoxy primer for any exposed bare metal that isn't covered with adhesive.

once you chop out the roof of the car, the structural integrity is never the same.

don't do it. leave your HF alone. Not sure I like the running boards on the car.
