I'd like to introduce myself. I've grown up my whole life around muscle cars and stuff such as that. I currently own a 2001 mustang gt. I want to keep it and save up for a civic. I've always been told by my friends (ignorant ones) that hondas are crap and can't make power. So with that being said, I want to build a budget d series civic. But I need to know what year (usdm) civics have a d16. I did some research but still confused. If you can help me out, thanks and have a great day

 

89-91 civic si hatch/crx= d16a6
92-95 civic si hatch/93 and up for ex coupe=d16z6
96-00 civic hx coupe= d16y5
96-00 civic dx coupe/hatch=d16y7
96-00 civic ex coupe = d16y8

your best bet is to try out an ex coupe, usually cheaper than the hatch, good luck
