I have a 92 DA integra with a b20b swap. It's got 210k on the body with the stock YS1 Trans, the clutch is starting to go out, so I'm thinking about instead of changing just the clutch, since the Trans has such high miles on it, I'm trying to swap out a different low mileage Trans. I'm looking for opinions on what Trans would be best, since its cable and not hydro.

 

B16 or GSR B17 transmissions really wake up LS based cars because of the big torque they make compared to the Vtec engines.

 

What is wrong with your current transmission?

 

b16 with an LSD.

 

B16 trans (LSD preferably) with an LS 5th.

 

Think I'm gonna go with the b16. And what's wrong with my current one is that it's got 210k on it and the clutch is going. So why not just replace the Trans while I'm putting a new clutch in, and start building the motor.

 

So you are buying an unknown condition used one to replace one that works but is just high miles? At 300k+ my teans need a syncro or two...
