hey guys ive got a 89 crx d16y7 5 speed , im havin problems I cant seem to figure out, its killin me, ok its hard to start cold, I turn it over and over and over and itll finally start tryin to run, when I finally get it to start up I have to keep reving it to keep it running until it warms up before I can drive it, other wise itll act like its smothering out, it kinda bogs down, ok when I get it to runnin temp it runs decent, when I go to pull out it jerks around like crazy unless I ride the clutch and pull out hard, as im goin down the road if I try to barely ease on the gas pedal or when I let off the gas it jerks hard, I cant barely ease on the pedal and cruise cause it jerks around, then every now and again itll bogg down goin down the road like its smothering, when it does that I can push the clutch shut it off and start it back real quick and its fine again until next time, and it runs really rich all the time. im leaning towards the iac but Im not sure. I know when I park and get out I feel the iac and its hot as f*&^% twice as hot as the valve cover or anything else. if anybody could help me or has had this problem before I would greatly appreciate your help or any inputs plese, also I have pressure built up in my gas tank, the pvc valve seems to be workin right, the vacuum hoses are all right in the engine bay, none stopped up as far as that goes, if anyone has any input on that would be greatly appreciated! sounds like a vacuum leak. if there is a leak in the vacuum system the engine gets too much air, causing you to have a bad fuel/air ration, losing power and fuel efficiency. id try following all your vacuum lines with carb cleaner/starting fluid, and if it revs up or smooths out, then thats where the leak is if you have one.

if the IACV/EACV are running hot, then it could be an issue with either valve or the coolant lines running the the EACV.

 

things like that related to temperature can be the O2 sensor or the ecu temp sensor
