skunk2 stage 1 question
guys,
Just installed my skunk2 stage 1. Should the cam pin holes line up when everything (cam gears, crank) is set to TDC? I recall reading that it's off? Having problems seting my timing back to 16. Sorry, I know it should be posted in Tech forum but there seems to be more support for skunk cams in this forum.
thanks

Thanks guys. I'm running AEM cam gears. The pin holes lined up pefectly for me (?) Might be a clue that something is off? Car runs strong but I just can't get a accurate reading on my timing. I'll double check to make sure that the cam gear line up.

funny what happens when you search. my stage 1s bumped my timing from 17 to 20ish when I checked ig timing after the installation. I know this because I made a mark across my disty/I1 bearing cap at 16BTDC on my stock cams long before the installation. when they are indexed at the gears, the crank white TDC mark is forward a couple degrees.
I checked, rechecked this. seems like the cams might be machined a couple degrees differently than stock. I am using stock gears here. I wonder if this
would effect cam timing at all...
