Brakes squeaking on 2014 Honda CR-V

Brakes squeaking on 2014 Honda CR-V
Should a 2014 Honda CR-V make a squeaking sound when stopping. There is less than 12,000 miles on it so I thought maybe they are just damp? Brakes pads don't wear out that quickly do they?
