Ys1 B series Issue
1989 ef8 CRX . Ys1 gearbox
Have bought light flywheel (Exedy HF01). On install I used the OEM pressure plate bolts. put it all back together and heard the sound of spitting metal when i took it for
a drive. so I took box apart again and found 2 pieces of metal sitting in bell housing area. about the size of your thumb nail.
Gearbox internals seemed fine
there were 3 bent pressure plate bolts ... just want to know what bolts i should use or if anyone else has had this problem ?
I would like to bounce ideas off people. I'm thinking of shortening the bolts and weighing them to make them all even.
Can anyone identify the pieces of steel, 2 pictures attached let me know, thanks.

That looks like the weights that are spot welded onto the pressure plate for balancing. They are located near the bolting area. If this is the case I would get a new clutch kit. I wouldn't bother messing around with shorter bolts, Just get standard parts and install them carefully.
Yip that's exactly what it was the spot welded weights came off could see where they would have been on the pressure plate !! Thanks heaps for the heads up have ordered new 6 puck !!!
