Clutch pressed => low RPM => engine shuts off
Hi,
I have 06 Honda. When I fully press the clutch, the RPM gradually goes to zero and, the battery and oil indicators light up and the engine shuts off.
This does not happen always. About 50% of the time I face this problem. Some days its bad
, and some days its better.
For speeds above 10 mph, the engine restarts with a slight delay when I press the gas pedal, For speeds below 10 mph, the engine just dies.
I am thinking about checking the MAF and crankshaft sensors. Any other ideas will be highly appreciated!
TIA!

This tends to be a lazy oxygen sensor. If never replaced it would be good maintenance even if not the underlying cause. I would check for codes first.
Densos are OEM and suggested to use those.

If the engine only turns off with clutch operation, there may be something wrong with the clutch system.
A release bearing that is siezing is a possibility. Engine thrust bearing wear is a possibility also.
Do you have a habit of holding the clutch down to the floor at stoplights? Has the oil level in the car ever run low? What type of clutch is in the car?

Definitely check codes. Sounds like clutch is bad, or at least a part of the clutch system(bearing, disc, pressure plate) and also sounds like maybe an ignition issue. I had a similar issue in my 99 tl with the engine dying while driving and restarting. Not tol sure though. Just my .02 gl man!
